AI for Small Business
Ninety minutes. One real workflow. Something you can use Monday.
Free. Twenty-two seats. Application required.
What It Is
Twenty-two owners in a room, and one workflow rebuilt live
Most owners know AI matters and have no idea where it applies to their own work. Every month, this session fixes that for one person in the room, in front of everyone else.
Everyone names the task in their business they dread doing. Those go on the board. Then I pick one and we rebuild it live – what the process actually is today, which steps exist only because of how it was done in 2019, and what is left once a machine handles the rest. Whoever owns that workflow walks out with the working version.
The Format
Ninety minutes, six segments
| Time | Segment |
|---|---|
| 7:45 | Doors, coffee, cards |
| 8:00 | The frame. One idea, one promise, and the no-sell contract. |
| 8:05 | The room round. Everyone names the task they dread. |
| 8:15 | The teach. One concept, ten minutes, rotating monthly. |
| 8:25 | The build. Audit, optimize, automate, live on screen. |
| 9:00 | The round table. Every answer names a specific tool and a real price. |
| 9:15 | The take-home. Everyone writes their one thing, in pen, in the room. |
| 9:25 | The close. Next date, and sixty seconds on what I do. |
| 9:30 | Informal, for anyone who wants to stay |
The No-Sell Contract
Nobody gets sold to
There are no sponsors and no vendor presentations, ever. The moment somebody with a product on the line speaks from the front, every recommendation in the room becomes suspect.
I run a technology consulting practice. I mention it once, at the end, for about a minute, and that is the entire commercial content of the morning.
The Series
Third Thursday, every month
Thursday, October 15, 2026
8:00 to 9:30 a.m.
Thursday, November 19, 2026
8:00 to 9:30 a.m.
The Arroyo Room at Brookside Golf Course, Pasadena. Doors at 7:45.
Who Comes
Owners, GMs, and operators
Businesses of roughly two to two hundred people, in and around Pasadena. Manufacturing and club operations are where most of my examples come from, but the method is the same regardless of what you make or sell.
Seats are capped at twenty-two, because above that the room stops being a room. Registration asks you one required question – what is the one task or problem in your business you most want fixed. Answer it properly, because that list is what the live build gets pulled from.
Next Session
Next session is Thursday, October 15
